...Hello since it's Tuesday morning and I'm checking in with the blog; good-bye because I leave tomorrow morning super-early for the Gaspe! The taxi comes to pick me up at 4:45! YIKES!! My plan is to go to sleep really early tonight, since I'm speaking to three groups of students tomorrow. If I have the energy and I can get to a computer, I'll try to write at least one blog entry fromthere -- otherwise, you'll have to wait till Sunday to find out how things went. Have a good rest of the week. Hey, I read something about writing that I think you'll like. It's from B.C. poet Susan Musgrave: "a writer's job is to eavesdrop on the world." I SECOND THAT!!

Wow... 4:45 is quite early!! I suppose I had better not complain tomorrow morning when I get up at 6:15!
I like that quote about eavesdropping -- for one thing, it proves that you're not the only writer who believes in listening in on conversations... although I stil find it a rather difficult thing to do, becuase, as soon as I start listening, I get this blank look on my face and people wonder what I'm thinking about!
Have fun in Gaspé!
have a safe trip! so envious that you get to travel. when i have to travel early in the morning at like 3 am and such, i just dont go to bed... if anything i power snooze for an house but i get nervous about missing my flight.. so i either sleep in my parent's bed (my dad doesn't go to bed on nights i travel hehe so i sleep on his side of the bed) or on the couch so that i dont get into as deep of a sleep as i would in my bed.. then i sleep on the airplane
p.s. i have tried your eavesdropping tips.. they are fun
