Life seems to be going a little too quickly, even for me the speed-demon! Lots to do between writing, teaching and book promotion. And I'm off this evening to Toronto for a wonderful children's writing conference offered through CANSCAIP (Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers). If you're interested, google the organization; it's terrific and hasbeen a big help to me in my career. On Sunday, I'll be interviewing children's author Frieda Wishinsky -- that's for a profile I'm writing for the CANSCAIP newsletter. And guess what? Exciting news! Next Tuesday, I'll be interviewing Elie Weisel for the National Post. Weisel is the author of what is probably the most famous book about the Holocaust -- Night. And of course, you'll be able to read all about it right here!!
So, the CTV segment about my mum and me and What World Is Left airs today. We caught it this morning at 6 A.M.; it's on again at 12 P.M., and then at 6 P.M. I thought it was very moving. Let me know what YOU think. May not have a chance to write another blog entry till Monday, but by then, I should have weeks' worth of stuff to tell you about! Bye for now and thanks to all you blog readers out there for your interest in the new book. I FEEL LIKE I GAVE BIRTH TO IT! xo from Monique
