The bad news is that picture book author and illustrator Mélanie Watt is out of town and my interview with her has been postponed till June. The good news is I have a wide-open day, with lotsof time to WRITE!
I thought that today I'd remind you about an upcoming children's writing conference taking place in Montreal a week from Saturday. The conference is called "Imagine a Story" and it'll be hosted by Yes Oui CANSCAIP (the Quebec chapter of CANSCAIP -- Canadian Society of Children's Authors, Illustrators and Performers). It happens on Saturday, May 29 from 9 A.M. - 4 P.M. at Dawson College. Some of the people who'll be speaking include Vermont picture book and YA author Tanya Lee Stone, Ontario author-editor Shelley Tanaka, and Quebec author-illustrator-filmmaker Janet Perlman. To register or to learn more about the conference, visit www.yesouicanscaip.ca. Hope to see you there!
When you subscribe to the blog, we will send you an e-mail when there are new updates on the site so you wouldn't miss them.
